The Chatelaine's Scottish Castles

Blervie Castle

near Forres

Photo reproduced by kind permission of Paul Warrener

Blervie Castle sits about 5 miles south-east of Forres in northern Scotland. Now in ruins, this tower was once part of a Z-plan fortalice belonging to the Dunbar family. Its 'twin', Burgie Castle, lies just to the north-east. Both were built in around 1600. Great views apparently!

For other info, consult the record by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland.
