Ardgowan is conveniently just 10-15 minutes walk from Inverness city centre and only 5 minutes from the River Ness.
Arriving by car on the A82
(from the south/west)
After crossing over the Caledonian Canal, continue on the A82 heading towards the city centre. Shortly after passing the Highland Council offices on the right, the road winds to the right. At the traffic lights, turn left into Kenneth Street and you will find Fairfield Road is the second turning on your left.
Arriving by car on the A9
(north/south) or A96 (east)
Leave the A9 at the roundabout nearest the bridge over the firth by taking Longman Road (the A82). Continue on this road, following the signs for Fort William, crossing Friars Bridge and then left into Kenneth Street. Halfway along Kenneth Street, turn right into Fairfield Road.
Arriving on foot from the train or bus station
Leave the train station by the main entrance onto Academy Street, cross the road at the traffic lights and continue along Academy Street heading right past the main entrance to the indoor Victorian market. Turn left into Queensgate and walk past the Post Office. (If arriving at the bus station, simply walk down the road to the traffic lights where you can cross over Academy Street. Head left and turn right into Queensgate). Walk to the end of Queensgate and then continue in the same direction down Fraser Street to the river. Cross the road at the traffic lights and walk across the pedestrian bridge. Continue in a direct line up Greig Street to the junction with Kenneth Street. Fairfield Road is then directly opposite.
