Inverness guest house

St Ann's House is a small, quiet, family run establishment
only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Inverness.

The house was originally built in 1880 for the town's PostMaster
but today it provides accommodation and a warm welcome to visitors.

We have 6 Non-Smoking bedrooms:
  • 1 single room with sole use of bathroom just outside the room
  • 2 double rooms each with a queen-size bed and en-suite shower room
  • 2 twin rooms each with en-suite shower room
  • 1 family room (double bed plus 2 single beds) with en-suite shower room

All bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed with colour TV, DVD player, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities.

A full Scottish breakfast is served each morning in the new spacious garden conservatory.
We can cater for vegetarians and special diets (please let us know in advance).

The secluded garden is a feature of St Ann's and guests are welcome to spend time in the tranquil setting.

There is a comfortable lounge for the sole use of guests and a restricted liquor licence allows drinks to be served to residents.

Being so close to the city centre, there is a good choice of restaurants and pubs nearby where other meals can be obtained. Your hosts will be very happy to advise you on the best eating places, if asked.

The Local Area

Inverness is an ideal holiday centre with many local attractions such as Cawdor Castle and Culloden Battlefield both just a short drive from the city centre.

Not to be missed are cruises on Loch Ness with every chance to spot the elusive monster, or dolphin watching boat trips on the Moray Firth where you are almost bound to spot these entertaining creatures. Hill walking, forest walks and bird watching are all available nearby.
Within an hour's drive of Inverness there are 28 golf courses to choose from.
Shops of all kinds abound and every weekend during the summer
there will be a Highland Games taking place somewhere in the region.

HOW TO FIND US

From A9 South

Turn left at the roundabout just before the Kessock Bridge onto the dual carriageway. Drive through the next 3 roundabouts and cross the River Ness by the Friars Bridge. At the next roundabout turn left at the third exit into Harrowden Road. St Ann's is two thirds up the road on the right.

From A82 Loch Ness

At the first set of traffic lights you come across, turn left onto Kenneth Street (signposted Beauly) and at the roundabout turn first left onto Harrowden Road.
